INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Astotec Automotive´s pyro-fuse can be used to interrupt electric circuits and therefore protect low and high voltage electrical systems in a various field of industrial applications. They can be used to protect all electricity generation, storage and conversion systems, including

• Photovoltaic and wind turbine installations
• Various electrified circuits e.g. industrial control cabinets
• Energy stationary storage & renewable energy generation
• Fuel cells
• Charging stations
• Electrification in transportation (e.g. road, air, ship or rail) and different electric power circuits

In the event of an incident, overcharging or circuit malfunctions ASTOTEC´s closers provide protection from electrical shocks for users and first responders. Therefore the closer provides a permament short-circuit within less than a millisecond.

Our PinPuller are mostly used for unlocking, where urgency and reliability are required. They can be used aerospace, mobility, infrastructure, security and much more areas.

Typical retraction distances are in the range 5 to 15 mm, at a level of Fmax approximately 1.5 kN.

The Pin Puller enables pull out operation, activated by generated gas applying our “One Time Energy”.
They can be utilized for various purposes such as an automatic fire extinguisher, safety equipment for emergency and unlocking stoppers.

Our PinPusher are powerful and available for various applications, such as active bonnets or headrests.

The stroke range is 5 to 130 mm. The maximum force is typically 0.5 kN to 2 kN, in some cases up to 8 kN.
